A Princess Was She
There i was laying on the ground
spirit broken, soul unfound
I heard a whisper in my ear
it said I'm coming to take away the fear
Though I tried to rise up on my own
I needed help to find my way home
I needed an angel, a spirit, a call
I was losing my Hope
covered by a darkened pall
The Lord decides what will be
only God can really set me free
only in my deams, we would meet
and it would be oh so sweet
Again, I heard that sweet sound
it picked me up, turned me around
She was an angel, a Princess was she
standing right there in front of me
A gift from Heaven, His work sent to do
His humble Servant, to lead me true
she showed me who I was created to be
Is this it, is this really me?
I was lost, but now I'm found
the Words she wrote, raised me from the ground
released my soul, let it take flight
darkness was gone, replaced by a beautiful light
took me over, now i see
what I can do, what I should be

This was so beautiful and heartfelt. It reminded me of a time when someone I loved very much told me I was his angel. He dreamt of me for years before having met me and while he dreamt of me, I also had dreamt of him. I was fortunate to find him and spend a wonderful two years with him before tragedy befell us both and he lost his life. I treasure the time I had with him and your beautiful poem reminded me of that time, thank you!
